One important thing this source explains is that in order to appreciate the progress journalism has made, we must appreciate the past. CISLM explains how future booming technologies like virtual reality may be used in journalism. Lastly, this resource explains the future of journalism as a whole and how collecting and presenting the news is ever-changing.

In this article, Vikram Joshi, a writer for Forbes, explains the importance and usage of modern social media for marketing purposes. Joshi explains from a personal viewpoint explaining how his own company that he worked for started interacting with social media by ignoring it. However, Joshi explains that in this day and age, we as marketers cannot ignore social media as a tool. Joshi goes on to explain the importance of social media as a tool for marketing such as increasing brand awareness and engagement. Moreover, the author then explains some ways to use social media for marketing such as analyzing performance and staying up-to-date with trends.

This article opens by explaining that new technology has allowed markets to meet consumers where they are and allowing them to engage as they are and can. This article explains that further by explaining how many users have the internet, have mobile devices, and what they use for entertainment. Next, this article explains what marketers need from their brands in order to be successful. This includes things like personalization and transparency. Lastly, this article explains that in order to be successful there must be a partnership between marketers and technology.

This article is used to explain how new media has changed the field of public relations. Starman opens her article by explaining what new media is and that it is almost all internet-driven making it different from other and previous new media and technologies. Starman then explains that new media is effective by comparing it to the last time you have personally stopped to pick up a paper form of the newspaper. She then gives the benefits of interactivity of the new media and closes with examples of new media such as Blogs and Podcasts.

Then, the article lists out the ways we have benefited from social media communication such as business and marketing benefits. The article closes with even more examples such as digitized healthcare.
